Chocolate Banana Overnight Oats
I can’t believe today is the last day of #RGNBreakfastWeek! I had such a fun time creating this for you guys.
From the recipe testing, to photographing the food, to writing the emails and sharing with you guys my tips and how breakfast can help you with your intuitive eating journey – it has been such a great week!

I often discuss how to make peace with food and the importance of taking morality out of our food choices. This is how I help clients stop obsessing about food and end their food struggles so they can live a healthy and happy life that FEELS GOOD!
This week I wanted to put a little bit more emphasis on the food because while many people who first hear of Intuitive Eating will get the impression that eating whatever you want will mean you will eat cake all day – in reality that isn’t the case, because you’re body won’t FEEL good if you eat in this way.
The goal of intuitive eating is to eat in accordance with your internal cues of hunger and fullness and finding satisfaction in the foods you eat. Yes, that includes vegetables AND cake. An intuitive eater seeks to honor their health in a balanced way and does not feel guilty about whatever food choice they make. When it comes to your food and eating – there is no room for guilt!
Which is why I wanted to take some time to share with you recipes that will make your body feel good.
I believe in enjoying ice cream without guilt. I believe that if we overeat sometimes it is not a ‘bad’ act and that it’s okay. I believe in balance and taking care of yourself. When you learn to approach your health from a place of self-care, you stop worrying about how food will impact your weight and begin caring about what it will do for you health and how good it will make you feel. It frees up your mind to live life fully!

For the final recipe of #RGNBreakfastWeek I’m sharing my go-to recipe for busy mornings:
Chocolate Banana Overnight Oats!
Chocolate Banana Overnight Oats
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 medium sized ripe banana
- 3 teaspoons unprocessed unsweetened cocoa powder (I like hershey’s)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- Mash the banana, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and hot water together until well blended and smooth.
- In a 16 ounce Mason jar, place chocolate mixture, oats, chia seeds, and milk.
- Cover and shake until well blended.
- Place in fridge overnight or st leafy 2 hours.
- Optional: top with sliced bananas and peanut butter. Enjoy!
Makes 2 8 oz servings
